NICK NIGHT: WELCOME TO THE WORLD OF FUTURISTIC AND FUNNY FASHION FILMING

“I feel that I exist in the future. And, I will tell you, this is an unusual place!”

Nick Knight is associated with fashion photos, moreover, he is inextricably linked with the fashion world. But the photographer cannot be called “one of.” In contrast to the photographs of many figures in this direction, his work is distinguished by innovativeness and non-standard. Knight’s photos are amazing. It does not reflect trends, it sets them.

The future cult photographer began his career, like many, with a simple passion for photography. It helped him impress the fair sex.

Nick was born in London on November 24, 1958. His family held very democratic views on raising children, so the boy always felt support from his parents in all his endeavors. Continue reading

DRAGGING THE SHUTTER EFFECT IN PORTRAIT PHOTO OR HOW TO MAKE A PORTRAIT MOVE

The effect of “lengthening the shutter speed” is familiar to anyone who has used a compact camera set to the “night portrait” mode. In order for bright blurry stripes around the main subject to appear on the photo, you need to highlight it with a flash using the slow shutter speed. Without this, the background of the photo will be simply dark. The dragging the shutter works particularly well when combined with a bright background.

Extending the shutter speed creates a crisp, clear, well-lit background, while the subject itself is clearly visible, even if in the background there are luminous night streets of Las Vegas or a brightly lit interior. But this technique does not make it possible to add intentional motion blur to a static frame. Continue reading

Peter is interested in painting, he attends an art school, and after that, enters the Krefeld Institute of Arts. He manages to participate in art exhibitions with his artwork. Gradually, the young man’s interest switches to photography, and in 1971 Lindbergh got his first camera. He starts off as an assistant photographer Hans Lux. At age 19, Alas went to the UK. In London, he learned the language and found a job as a stylist. His path in photo modeling began after meeting Markus Piggott in 1994. At one of the photo shoots, a fateful meeting took place that marked the beginning of a creative duet. They had a lot in common in biography, professional preferences and hobbies. The guys rented the attic of an abandoned warehouse and equipped a small studio. Continue reading

TIPS FOR TAKING MOD SHOW

Taking models on the catwalk is a skill that some take for granted, but few photographers do the job as well as they could. But your job at a fashion show is to somehow take perfect photos, while being in a crowd with other photographers, cliched like sardines in a bank, in a dark corner of a very hostile environment where most things are beyond your control.

Before we begin, remember that the purpose of catwalk photography is to provide a consistent set of quality images for designers or media publications covering an event in the fashion world. Qualitative!
